Many of the paintings in the exhibition will have a QR code enabling people to listen to the music that inspired the painting.
Tuesday 22 August Charlie Pyne Jazz Trio will be performing in the exhbition.
This painting (5 x 3ft) plus some drawings and pastels is displayed in the Leamington Art Gallery until 9 June 2019
The painting was from a performance by Ensemble 360 of a jazzy piece by Martinu which was being recorded by BBC Radio 3 at the Royal Pump Rooms in Leamington Spa.
I have donated 6 drawings to Warwick School that I made of Peter Cropper when he gave a masterclass there. As they included some of his comments and advice to the boys I felt they should be in the Music Department to remind students what a marvellous enthusiastic communicator he was. Check out DRAWINGS to see them.
My next exhibition 'The Musician IS the Music' will be in the Conservatory of the Royal Pump Rooms Leamington Spa in conjunction with Leamington Music May Festival 3-10 May 2019.
I will be doing the Friday Focus talk in the Art Gallery on 3 May. here is one of the pintings that will appear in the exhibition

My drawing 'Doric Quartet Cellist Rehearsing' has been donated to Wigmore Hall by Peter and Gillian Robinson.
I went to the Pump Rooms in Leamington Spa to draw the quartet rehearsing for that evening's performance. Only John Myerscough was there playing in a world of his own with his legs wrapped round his cello - not the normal posture when playing a cello.
This drawing inspired a collage which I called 'I Love my Cello'.
Pleased to say I have a large drawing selected to hang at the Rugby Art Gallery & Museum Open Exhibition, open from 8 December to 15 January 2018

I have two paintings in a special display in the Leamington Art Gallery entitled 'Close to Home' showing artwork made by artists which relate to the area in which we live. I am giving a short talk in the Leamington Spa Art Gallery about my painting as part of the Friday Focus scheme at 1pm on Friday 4 November.
My Book A MUSICAL JOURNEY IN PAINT follows the path I have taken as I explored the subject of painting musicians and music.
It is now available on Amazon UK, US and EU
Chris White MP opening the Festival and Exhibition on Friday 29 April 2016. This was followed by a marvellous concert by the Guarneri Trio.
I sold quite a lot of books which people have enjoyed reading. The exhibition was well received and was an interesting exercise for me to do as it gave me an overview of what I have done since becoming interested in exploring the subject of Music and Musicians.
Here is a link to a short video of the exhibition:
I published a book 'A Musical Journey in Paint' following my interest in music and musicians as my favoured subject matter since 1989. This will be available at my 10 yr Retrospective exhibition which co-incides with Leamington Music's 10th Anniversary. The exhibition is part of the May Music Festival at the Pump Rooms, Leamington Spa 29 April - 3 May 2016.
Peter Cropper "A Musical Force of Nature" (Radio 3). The 1st concert of the new Leamington Music string quartet season will be on October 9 at the Pump Rooms in Leamington with the Royal String Quartet. The concert will be dedicated to the memory of Peter Cropper, lead violin of the Lindsey Quartet who died suddenly a couple of months ago. I am exhibiting a number of ink drawings developed from brief sketches I made at concerts and a workshop at Warwick School in 2011. He was passionate about passing on his vast experience of performing to young musicians, so it seems appropriate to record this event. I shall never forget it and I’m sure the boys won’t either!
My painting 'Villiers Quartet perform Shadowy Delius' appears on BBC Radio 3 website. Villiers Quartet were recorded by BBC earlier this year when they performed at the Royal Pump Rooms, Leamington Spa (thanks to Leamington Music). The concert was heard on the Radio 3 Lunchtime Concerts on 12 and 13 August. The small painting was one of the Digital Originals I exhibited at my recent exhibition PAINTING with SOUND. The image can be found on this website under Digital Originals.
I exhibited a number of paintings as part of the SOUND & VISION exhibition in conjunction with the Guiting Music Festival 24 July - 2 August 2015. PAINTING with SOUND is the title of my solo exhibition of recent paintings and drawings.

Warwickshire Open Studios 2014
My exhibition as part of Warwickshire Open Studios opened at Warwick Street Kitchen, 102 Warwick Street, Leamington Spa 28 June - 12 July 2014. I brought paper and drawing materials for anyone who wanted to have a go too, mostly children. Other visitors seemed oblivious to what was on the walls! Here are a couple of drawings.

I collaborated with Mexican guitarist Morgan Szymanski in 2012.
The paintings are projected behind him wherever he plays Sketches of Mexico. (see COLLABORATION). Two of these paintings were exhibited at WIGMORE HALL when Morgan performed there in May 2013. 'Morgan plays Sketches of Mexico' was also exhibited at the NORTH NORFOLK MUSIC FESTIVAL in August 2013 when he performed there with the Doric Quartet. Estrellita is now in Mexico owned by Morgan .
